The event was announced in May 2019 at the Season IX Pro League in Milan, Italy and will this year take place in Raleigh, New Carolina, the city’s largest major esports even in five years.

Coming off the back of a dominating win at last years ‘Six Major’ in Paris, G2 Esports defeated Evil Geniuses in a comfortable 3-0 victory, and Evil Geniuses will look to seek redemption in this year’s tournament.

DreamHack Valencia winners Rogue and the Allied Esports Las Vegas winners Team Secret have both tasted victory in minor Siege competitions this year which has qualified them for the major.

Teams from the Season IX Pro League finals like Fnatic, Immortals and DarkZero will all be on the hunt to advance into these all-important major finals. Additional qualifiers from each region include forZe (EU), Ninjas in Pyjamas (LATAM), Team SoloMid (NA) and CYCLOPS (APAC), while the host country has invited Spacestation Gaming to represent America.

The initial qualifying rounds will be held on August 12, 13 and 14, where teams will play one another from their designated brackets in a best of three (Bo3) match, and the top two teams from each group will advance into the final group of eight.

The quarterfinals, semi-finals and grand final will be open to the public on 16th, 17th and 18th of August, respectively at the Raleigh Convention Centre, and follow a Bo3 format, where the grand final becomes an intense five-round battle.

Tickets are available from the Ticketmaster website, and unfortunately, all VIP tickets have already sold out. Updates in regard to schedules and how and when to watch will become available on the Rainbow Six website on August 6.
